Delhi Police is sensible

I have to hand it to Delhi Police. They may not be sensitive, but they are sensible enough not to get their sensibilities overly and too quickly offended.
I am just returning from watching the slightly preachy yet well-made movie Jolly LLB. Though the antagonist is played by Boman Irani (remember Munna Bhai M.B.B.S, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, and Three Idiots?), the absence of a big name on the other side makes the movie stand out. Arshad Warsi is fine enough to carry the title of the movie. But, this is not a review post.
There is a scene that gathers titters from the movie hall audience. This is when, in a scene that appears not implausible, the post of an SHO is being auctioned off. The post goes to someone who the auctioneer says will get through the background check because the only mark against him is an alleged eve teasing incident – not all that black that mark is. Of course, bidding for the post is no mark at all!
This scene is not necessarily integral to the script though it has been weaved in quite seamlessly. Perhaps this is why it got through the censorship board. But, has anyone from Delhi Police seen the movie? I would guess, yes. Then, why have his sensibilities not been hurt or insulted? I would not want to go into the legal aspects, such as defamation, libel, slander etc. But, sensibilities, the cat’s paw to get the marsh mellows out of fire!
This is why I concluded, ahead of making a case for it, that Delhi Police is sensible and their sensibilities are not quite so fragile.
