Law and Spiritual Fiction
On
YouTube, a truly enlightened spiritual teacher and a law student were having a
tte-
-t
te, and it was
interesting. The spiritual teacher was
apparently talking about something he calls “Inner Engineering”. I was an engineer
in my professional life, and that phrase perked my ears up.
A
law student asked the teacher, after the customary appreciations of this and
that, to perhaps explain this “Inner Engineering”. The spiritualist was feeling
uppity, and going way over himself, asked what is law (or something like that).
And there ended the short snippet, with the watcher left high and dry. The pity
was the rest of the audience started clapping their hands, not in appreciation
of the question raised, but on the quick riposte of the teacher. That set the
spiritualist off on his much rehearsed and repeated, I am sure, path of elaborating
his empty explanation.
I
would have answered the teacher’s question: Law is made by powerful people to
solidify their hold on society. I would have continued, “In this respect, law
and spirituality are two sides of the same coin!” Check that. Law is not
fiction.
And
for a further few minutes I watched the enlightened teacher blabber on and on
without saying anything a layman could understand. I can tell you he is a
certified spiritual teacher, as each and every such teacher I have come across
has resorted to the same tactics. (I
switched off the YouTube channel, as I do not tolerate arrogance as I myself am
arrogant). The sad part was that there were no explanations, jus some claims
that cannot be proved or disproved!
I
come to my own blabbering now. Thanks.
