The Italian Don Juan

This short, very short post is occasioned by a news report (in both Hindustan Times and Times of India of September 19, 2011). This is all about Silvio Berlusconi, the prime minister of Italy, sleeping with many women over one night. The count apparently stopped at eight. I wonder whether any of these eight was a redhead.

A risqué joke relevant to this news item I had heard a long time ago:

A young, macho looking man had acquired a reputation of being the local Don Juan. One day he was asked, “Have you slept with a brunette?” The fellow replied, “Yes, of course. Many times.”

“What about a blonde?”

“Don’t even ask. I have lost count.”

“Then, let me ask about those ferocious maneaters, the redheads.”

“Are you joking? I have better things to do with them than just sleep,” the Don Juan said with a wink.

Now, what about the Italian Don Juan? Did he sleep with or sleep with those eight?

I can imagine Silvio's comment: Only 8? Sleep? Who? Me?

A risque joke not relevant to this:

Man 1: Do you smoke after sex?
Man 2: Aw..gee! I have not checked.

I knew that the Italians are known for their gregarious nature. But to this extent?!

But Matheikal,

Except the barber, no one made a pass at Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday!

Aren't the French supposed to be romantic? Oh, may be I am confusing between roamntic and being sex craved :)))

All of them must have been his sleeping partners and not for any other purpose :P

of all the Europeans, it is the Italians who have a high reputation for ' sleeping on the job'

DS sir, but did he "sleep" in normal font or in italics? Being an Italian, I suspect it is the latter!

Thanks a lot.
